Linda S. Melancon, the owner of the Legacy Center of Louisiana, LLC, is an attorney devoted to providing clients with the best in estate planning, probate, and elder law services. Ms. Melancon graduated magna cum laude from Mercer University with a double major in business administration and history and then attended Louisiana State University Law School, where she graduated with her Juris Doctorate degree in 1997. While in law school, Ms. Melancon received the Order of the Coif award for graduating in the top 10% of her class and was a member of the Louisiana Law Review.

Ms. Melancon is a member of the Trusts, Estate, Probate and Immovable Law Sections of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Elder Law Task Force, Wealth Counsel, Elder Counsel, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and is the President of the River Parish Estate Planning Council.

Also very active in her community, Ms. Melancon is a member of the Ascension Chamber of Commerce and the East Ascension Rotary Club where she received the club's "Community Service Award" for 2008-2009. She is also a member of River Community Church.

Ms. Melancon is married to Michael Melancon and has one daughter, Sara, and rwo step-children, Michael Melancon, Jr. and Jennifer Melancon Veazey. She also has two grandchildren, Ashley and Benjamin.

Ms. Melancon regularly presents educational seminars for public and private groups on Estate Planning, Elder Law, Asset Protection Planning, Veterans Benefits and Long-Term Healthcare issues.
